Hi there, I’m Arya

I am a versatile educator who had the opportunity to work as a professor, assistant professor, high school teacher, elementary school tutor, and elementary classroom teacher. Teaching math has always been my passion and I have been teaching math since 2004 to all grade levels. Through experiences, I have developed a well-rounded understanding of how adults and students learn, what challenges they face, and ways to overcome those challenges.

I’m  an energetic and passionate elementary teacher with a special mission: to turn math fear into math love! For years, I’ve worked closely with students who’ve struggled with numbers, formulas, and confidence. And guess what? Many of them now say math is their favorite subject—because we make it click, make it fun, and make it make sense.

My journey started as a dedicated tutor helping kids who felt stuck. Today, I bring that same heart, creativity, and persistence into every lesson I teach. I believe every child can be a “math person”—they just need the right guide, the right support, and a little spark.

In my classroom, we celebrate mistakes, build confidence, and turn challenges into “aha!” moments. There’s nothing better than seeing a student light up when they realize, “Hey, I can do this!”

Let’s make learning joyful, powerful, and full of possibility—one math moment at a time.

Bio

Accomplished educator successful in classroom management, student evaluations, and test preparation. Proven history of improving student learning outcomes by adapting lesson plans to student needs. Dedicated to promoting academic performance and fostering social skills and character development. I always seek an opportunity to utilize my leadership skills to support student achievement, working collaboratively to insure equity in student learning environments, while demonstrating empathy for all members of the learning community.

Working in different institutions in India has taught me that teaching is a multi-faced profession. Teaching students in rural and urban areas has given me insight into multiple cultures, races, and religions which help me to make strong connections with diversity.

I have dedicated myself to developing my practice to reach learners of all abilities, to include parents in the learning process, and to ensure equity for all students in the learning community. The essential work of an educator is vital for students to achieve their potential.
